Riverside Runners Club Championship

RIVERSIDE RUNNERS CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP 2025

The Club Championship is a series of races that are selected for members to race throughout the year to determine the male and female Club Champions. 

The Championship will be split into two elements (a Short Championship and a Long Championship)
To complete the Short and Long Championship you will need to complete one race from each category (with the exception of Frostbites).
The overall male and female Club Championship will be based on the lowest aggregate times when adding the fastest time from each category.

Rules

The championship is only open to first claim members – if you leave the club or downgrade your membership you will no longer be eligible regardless of how many races you may have taken part in.
All runners must state they are representing the club when entering any of the races.
All runners must wear Riverside kit for all races in Category 3 to 6.
Runners can run as many races as they wish from each category but only their fastest time will count.
All results must be recorded on the Riverside Runners website by the last day of the month that the race is in.
All runners must participate in a minimum of 2 frostbites to be eligible (or volunteer at St Neots and run one other)
All runners completing the short and long championship will recieve a completion medal.
The top 3 for age grading and time will receive an award
Overall club champion to be determined by fastest time only.

Short Championship

Cat 1	5k	Pocket Parkrun - (First Saturday of the month every other month) January 04th, March 01st, May 03rd, July 05th, Sept 06th, Nov 01st
Cat 2	5k	One race from the following: Any of the Summer P'Boro 5k series (June/July), AFF Marston Forest (June 06th), Bedford Autodrome (Aug 03rd), Bedford running festival (Sept 06th) or Hitchin (Sept 28th)
Cat 3	5 mile	One race from the following: ATW Bedford (Jan 26th), Eye (July 07th), Hatfield (Nov 31st), Wolverton (Nov tbc)
Cat 4	5 mile	Any 2 x Frostbites (attendance only, time is not recorded) - Hunts (Jan 12th), Fenland (Feb 02nd), BRJ (March 02nd), St Neots (Oct tbc), Bushfield (Nov tbc), March (Dec tbc)
Cat 5	10k	One race from the following: Thorney (March 23rd), Cambourne (April 13th), Eye (May 11th), Titchmarsh (May 11th), Bedford AAA (July 13th), Town & Gown (Oct 05th), Ely (Dec 31st)

Long Championship

Cat 2	Half Marathon	One race from the following: ATW Bedford (Feb 23rd), Cambridge Half (March 09th), GP Beds Autodrome (Aug 03rd), Bedford Running Festival (Sept 07th), Great Eastern (Oct 12th), St Neots (Nov 23rd), MK Winter Half (Dec 07th)
Cat 3	20 mile	One race from the following: Oundle (March 02nd), MK Festival (March 16th), Twin Lakes (March 23rd), Oakley (March 23rd), Nene Valley (June 14th)
Cat 4	Marathon	Any full distance marathon
